Celestial Weasel

Ken's grave is in the St. Cross churchyard very close to James Blish's. As I recall the stone says 'Kenneth Tynan. Like Philip Larkin he is remembered mainly for using the word fuck'.
Or maybe I am making that up. Disturbingly I forgot Philip Larkin's name there. Age...

I think I'd rather have gone to the pub with KT than PL (although KA would have been amusing by most accounts - he was a huge fan too, even if he seems to have ignorant of Olaf Stapledon). They were pretty much the same era, hard though it is to imagine.

Tynan died (I think) in California. It's intersting that he was shipped back to the UK in general and Oxford in particular.
