I missed it again last night, but I thought the first episode was great. Obviously they haven't kept things up.


Brydon is good and there is plenty of eye candy (rather more than you'd get in a real observatory), but it would be ludicrous to call the thing scientifically ludicrous, that would be cutting the whole thing too much slack. One example: why is the observatory in the Outback? Observatories are on the tops of mountains!

I could dispute that. But that's another story to be told anoter time.

Watched 1.5 supernovae and wasn't terribly impressed. Bryson's grown a lot on me since I first saw him, but these aren't his finest thirty minutes.
