To be fair, as I understand it, they didn't need to use the second preferences. Boris won on the first count. There wasn't any need to look at the second preferences because with the weighting it couldn't make any difference.


If Boris won over 50% that makes it worse. It means that millions of Londoners thought this buffoon was the best qualiofied person to run London.

"[H]e lasted a week as a management consultant "Try as I might, I could not look at an overhead projection of a growth profit matrix, and stay conscious"." Given that Boris's only hope is that his chums drafted in from McKinsey and Bain can run the city, he better start getting used to seeing PowerPoint presentations containing matrices pretty damned sharpish.
